From September 2011 to May 2019, Far West Inc. & Subsidiaries provided procurement and acquisition support services for the Office of the Assistant Secretary of the   Army for Installations, Energy & Environment (OASA I,E&E) to assist with the execution of its procurement and acquisition requirements.

ABERDEEN PROVING GROUND ARMY CONTRACTING COMMAND (APG-ACC)

From July 2015 to October 2018, Far West Inc. & Subsidiaries provided Contract Support/IT Support services for the Army Contracting Command at Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland to assist with the execution of contracting and IT support requirements. IT Support Services include Business Analysis and Business Object Administration.

Small Business Advantage

The advantages of contracting with Alaska Native Corporations (ANC) are:

  • Exempt from the competitive threshold [13 C.F.R. 124.506(b); FAR 19.805-1 (b) (2).
  • Eligible for sole source set-aside contracts of any dollar amount (written and approved agency generated justification for contracts exceeding $22.5 million dollars).
  • Eligible for special rights under the A-76 program (OBM Circular).

The 8(a) Advantage

Angayut offers the following benefits to procurement officials:

  • Direct contract awards allowed.
  • Procurement process is simplified and accelerated.
  • ANC 8(a)’s may be sole-sources Federal contracts up to $22.5M. Unlike Non-tribally owned 8(a)’s, we are not subject to the $4mm cap on sole-source awards [Per 13 CFR 124.506(b)].
  • Sole-Source awards made to ANC 8(a) firms cannot be protested per 13 C.F.R. 124.517(a).

5% Incentive Program

DOD contractors who offer subcontracts with ANC 8(a) firms may receive 5% of the total value of the subcontract as an incentive per Section 504 of the Indian Financing Act of 1974 (25 U.S.C § 1544).
