Who We Are
Angayut LLC (Angayut) is a wholly owned subsidiary of Far West Inc.(FWI), an Alaskan Native Village Corporation.
FWI was created with the passage of the Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act (ANSCA)-P.L. 92-203 in 1971 and incorporated in 1974. FWI represents the original Alaska Native inhabitants consisting of Alutiiq and Aleut (Unangan) people and their descendants who settled in Chignik Bay, AK.
Angayut Senior leadership include two retired field grade Army Medical Service Corps officers whose combined experiences include executive leadership, policy development, management, advocacy, oversight and outreach for all Army Environment, Safety and Occupational Health Programs including Army National Guard and Reserve activities.
Experience includes management, and oversight of Army Sustainability; Natural Resources; Acquisition Programs (ESOH issues); Chemical, Biological, Nuclear and Conventional Treaty Verification and Compliance (to include Chemical Demilitarization); the Army Environmental Technology Program; the US/German Technology Data Exchange; the Executive Agent for a number of critical Department of Defense activities, to include: the DOD Unexploded Ordnance Center of Excellence, the DOD National Defense Center for Energy and the Environment, the DOD Voluntary Protection Program Center of Excellence, and the DOD Formerly Used Defense Site (FUDS) Cleanup Program.
Additional experiences include service as the Army's Federal Preservation Officer and the Functional Chief for Career Program 12 (CP-12, Safety) and the Interstate Technology and Regulatory Council and responsibilities that spanned a global organization that included a $1.5 billion+ annual environmental program and oversight for the safety and occupational health of over 1.2 million Soldiers and Army Civilian employees worldwide.

The advantages of contracting with an Alaska Native Corporation (ANC)
ANC’s are:
- Exempt from the competitive threshold [13 C.F.R. 124.506(b); FAR 19.805-1 (b) (2).
- Eligible for sole source set-aside contracts of any dollar amount (written and approved agency generated justification for contracts exceeding $20 million dollars).
- Eligible for special rights under the A-76 program (OBM Circular).
Angayut offers the following benefits to procurement officials:

• Procurement process is simplified and accelerated.
ANC 8(a)’s may be sole-sources Federal contracts up to $22.5M. Unlike Non-tribally owned 8(a)’s, we
are not subject to the $4mm cap on sole-source awards [Per 13 CFR 124.506(b)].
An agency generated justification must be made in writing for contracts exceeding $20 million dollars.
Sole-Source awards made to ANC 8(a) firms cannot be protested per 13 C.F.R. 124.517(a).
DOD contractors who offer subcontracts with ANC 8(a) firms may receive 5% of the total value of the
subcontract as an incentive per Section 504 of the Indian Financing Act of 1974 (25 U.S.C § 1544).
